It is hard to imagine a better spot for a residence than the ocean front row along PCH in Pacific Palisades.  A very narrow lot offers fantastic ocean views to the West, while needing a buffer from PCH’s noise and pollution to the East. With a close neighbor to the South and public parking to the North, the design has only one desirable orientation and three challenging ones.

Different strategy was chosen for each one of the buildings orientations- maximized glazing facing the West, a solid wall facing the East, and semi-transparent membrane provided by intricate louvers and glazing patterns facing the North and the South.

A strong diagonal concrete wall is the main feature in the interior, defining interior spaces and dominating the minimalist interior design.
